For my thesis, I am launching, branding, beginning my own Risograph micro-press entitled Misfit Press. Misfit Press embraces the whimsicalities of printing using a digital duplicator. The inherent flaws in Risograph printing and the individuality of designers and their creative process—cumulatively and Oo psynergistically—make each print special unto itself. Features of this printing method include less-than-perfect registration, smudging, and other quirks, inviting us to lean into its idiosyncrasies. If you’re going to be bad, be good at it.
