Alive: A Journey from Nothing to Something & Back is an exploration of design for transcendence. With the simple and eternal circle at its core, this project is a body of work inspired by a central idea that Truth cannot be learned—it must be experienced. The project is an attempt to raise questions rather than find answers: Why is there Something rather than Nothing? How can Ultimate Reality be depicted? How can a typeface be brought to life? What is a pilgrimage in the 21st century? And if all these are answered and we transcend, do we dissolve back into nothingness?

What is the essence of a typeface? Can a letterform transcend its intellectual bounds? A metaphorical Awakening of Type: when something designed to be read begins dancing instead.

Why does it appear across religions all over the world through millennia? At what point does a circle transition from a simple graphic symbol to a universal depiction of Something More?
